Qualifications

• Requires ARRT (R)(N)(CT) certification or eligible.
• May require ARRT or CNMT certifications; CT technologist license in Arkansas.
• Pediatric CT knowledge and radiation safety awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies exams as ordered by physician.
• Develops knowledge to perform correct CT scan protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
• Adheres to ALARA and radiation safety recommendations.
• Properly administers IV/oral contrast.
• Explains exams to patients and families.
• Maintains work area and equipment; requests service as needed.
• Keeps up-to-date with CT technology and protocols.
• Complies with all regulatory laws and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
