Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center, a part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to perform routine and specialized CT imaging with a strong commitment to patient care. The role involves positioning patients, initiating contrast, ensuring high-quality images, and upholding strict radiation safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have AMA-approved radiology training, ARRT CT/Radiography eligibility within 1 year, BCLS within 30 days, and on-call availability within 30 minutes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • CT tech registration must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
  • ARRT radiography registration within 1 year of start date.
  • BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
  • Two years of CT experience preferred; additional CT training.
  • On-call availability with 30-minute report/callback.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients on the CT table and assist with procedures.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide post-procedure instructions and release the patient.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and sanitize equipment between patients.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:
  • You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
  • You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
  • You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
  • You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
  • You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
  • You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
  • Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
