Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, MO is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform routine and complex tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires an associate degree in laboratory science (or related field) and certification or eligibility (MLT/ASCP, CLT/NCA), with eligibility to obtain registry within one year. Experience preferred, and the facility offers a comprehensive benefits package.

• Associates Degree in laboratory science or related science required OR Associates Degree with sufficient Biology and Chemistry coursework.
• Experience preferred.
• MLT (ASCP), CLT (NCA) or equivalent certification required OR registry/certification eligible.
• Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment and monitoring quality control measures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Medical Lab Technician(MLT)conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. What you will do in this role:

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• You will produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• You will maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree in laboratory science or related science required OR Associates Degree with sufficient Biology and Chemistry coursework required
• Experience preferred
• MLT (ASCP), CLT (NCA) or equivalent certification required OR registry/certification eligible
