Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist for PRN shifts in Belton, MO. The role requires performing radiographic exams with standard and portable equipment, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring accurate image handling and data transfer to PACS.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to radiation safety, and timely image processing for radiologist interpretation. Certification and ARRT-R radiography within defined timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:
