Job summary

Advocate Health Mercy in Charlotte seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and supporting equipment. You will verify orders, identify patients, and prepare them for procedures while documenting results accurately.

The role requires ARRT radiology certification (or NMTCB) with CT registry within one year and BLS. Expect 40-hour weeks with holidays and call rotations as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification; CT registry within 1 year.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficient in radiology procedures and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and refer discrepancies to Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Review EMR for medical history to correlate clinical data.
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment with proficiency.
• Administer IV contrast per protocol and document usage.
• Maintain sterile technique and safety standards during procedures.
• Rotate shifts including holidays and weekends; participate in call rotations.
