Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Current CT Certification and ARRT Certification.
• Current state license or permit, if required for the practice location.
• One year of CT experience, or 500 clinical hours in CT training.
• Meets CE and credential-maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review orders, verify patient identity, assess patient needs, and provide age-appropriate education and instructions.
• Prepare and position patients, select protocols, and operate CT equipment to acquire and process diagnostic images.
• Screen patients for contrast risks; establish venous access and administer contrast when authorized.
• Evaluate images for quality and completeness and prepare studies for interpretation.
• Document examinations and patient history in imaging systems.
• Perform quality-control checks and report safety concerns promptly.
• Follow infection control, radiation safety, privacy, and professional ethics requirements.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient flow and participate in training and quality activities.
