Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R certification in Radiography required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adjust techniques, and maintain ALARA dose levels.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report any issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast as per protocol using proper venipuncture techniques.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients appropriately.
• Document findings timely in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exam retrieval.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

ACCREdited Radiologic Technology program

1 year experience in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT

BLS (American Heart Association)
