Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year Radiology experience required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while keeping dose ALARA.
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and minimize patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, immobilization as needed.
• Document accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Keep areas orderly, restock supplies, and comply with regulations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

ARRT-R (Radiography) certification

ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification

BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
