The CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital within Wellstar delivers safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience on a 40-hour weekday day shift. Technologists are essential members of a collaborative care team in a leading Georgia health system.

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology; ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS.

Mansioni

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose (ALARA) while maintaining quality.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly, apply markers/shielding, and immobilize as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat/correct as needed and finalize in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock crash cart as required.
• Organize daily workflows; collaborate with team to support department flow.
• Follow regulatory requirements and escalate issues to supervisor.

Formazione

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
