Job summary

Advocate Health’s Cleveland CT imaging team seeks a CT technologist to verify orders, prepare patients, and perform CT scans with radiologist oversight. You will manage contrast administration and maintain strict radiation safety while documenting procedures.

The role requires ARRT (Radiology) or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with ARRT CT registry within one year of hire, and BLS certification. This is a full-time imaging position with rotating shifts and strong patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; document on appropriate worksheets.
• Interview patients for medical history; review EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Administer IV contrast as directed and record type/amount.
• Perform CT scans; ensure sterile technique and radiation safety; communicate with Radiologist as needed.

Education

Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
