Job summary

Jobtailor in Marlborough, MA seeks a CT technologist to perform CT scan examinations across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring safety and quality per department standards. You will gather clinical data, prepare and administer contrast, and maintain patient records.

Under Radiologist supervision, you will position patients, perform image QC, and send studies to PACS. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
  • Registered by the ARRT or NMTCB in diagnostic CT.
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scan examinations according to department policy and protocols.
  • Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Accurately completes records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
  • Positions and transfers patients and assists physicians during interventional exams.
  • Send exams to PACS and perform image QC; maintain inventory and supplies.

Job description

  • Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
  • Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
  • Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
  • Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
  • Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and in arranging the purchase of needed supplies.
  • Assists with other job-related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling.
  • Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, performs CT exams using contrast media according to department policy and procedures.
  • Establishes IV access for contrast injection according to department policy and procedure.
  • Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
