Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to join our imaging team in Paramus, NJ. The role involves preparing and operating CT scanners, acquiring high-quality diagnostic scans, and ensuring patient safety and accurate record-keeping in PACS and RIS.

Required credentials include an accredited Radiology Technology program, NJ DEP license, ARRT CT, and CPR/BLS. Prior CT experience is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork to support interdepartmental care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and operate a CT Scanner according to physician orders.

• Select patients from the worklist and ensure PACS/RIS archiving.
• Maintain facilities in proper order and stay current with CT procedures.
• Report to the Supervisor and work under supervision while independent when appropriate.

Job description

• Prepare for and operate a CT Scanner according to specific physician orders
• Produce detailed computer-generated patient scans for diagnostic and interventional information
• Assist patients onto the scanner
• Verify patient identification prior to scanning
• Select patients from the worklist
• Ensure examinations are archived on PACS and properly completed in RIS
• Maintain facilities in proper order
• Keep abreast of new CT procedures
• Report to and function under the general supervision of the Supervisor

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program
• Registration by the ARRT in CT
• Registered in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT certification from the ARRT
• Current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• BLS certification required
• One year of practical experience as a staff radiologic technologist preferred
• CT experience preferred
• Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment
• Ability to perform a variety of CT exams on patients
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vascular systems
• Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, and in presentations
• Ability to perform tasks accurately with attention to detail
• Ability to change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
• Ability to function independently and competently in stressful situations
