Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a CT Technologist to perform radiology CT exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will gather clinical data, ensure accurate records, and send exams to PACS for interpretation.

Responsibilities include IV access, image QC, inventory support, and coordination of urgent exam requests and scheduling across Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as needed.

Job description

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams
• Completes exams promptly and properly, performing QC on images and appropriately sending exams to PACS for review
• Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and arranging the purchase of needed supplies
• Assists with other job-related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling
• Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, performs CT exams using contrast media according to department policies
• Establishes IV access for contrast injection according to department policies
• Travels between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
