Job summary

Jobtailor in Massachusetts seeks a Radiologic CT Technologist to perform CT scans in inpatient and outpatient settings, following departmental standards. You will gather data, maintain records, and ensure quality imaging while coordinating with radiologists.

Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton may be required to provide support; the role requires ARRT certification and MA licensure.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT scan examinations appropriate to patient age in inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Gathers clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Completes records, paperwork and billings promptly.
  • Positions and transfers patients; assists physicians with interventional exams.
  • Performs QC on images and sends exams to PACS for physician review.
  • Maintains inventory and assists with procurement of supplies.
  • Supports urgent exam requests and scheduling.
  • Under radiologist/ER physician direction, performs CT exams with contrast per policy.
  • Establishes IV access for contrast injection as required.
  • Travels between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.

Job description

  • Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
  • Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
  • Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
  • Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
  • Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and in arranging the purchase of needed supplies.
  • Assists with other job-related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling.
  • Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, performs CT exams using contrast media according to department policy and procedures.
  • Will establish IV access for contrast injection according to department policy and procedures.
  • Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.
Requirements
