Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist license (state of Wisconsin)
• ARRT RT registration
• CT registration with ARRT within 18 months
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months
• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment for basic/intermediate diagnostic procedures (body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremity)
• Obtain medical history and verify requisitions for exam accuracy
• Position patient, select scanning factors, ensure radiation safety according to regulations
• Administer contrast media under Radiologist direction and assist in scanning techniques
• Post-process images, label files with patient identifiers and location
• Document billing codes and enter data into radiology information system
• Perform QA tests on equipment and report malfunctions
• Assist in patient positioning and transport, lift and move patients as needed
• Ensure care aligned with patient age-specific needs as per department policies
