Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time CT Radiologic Technologist to operate CT equipment and perform diagnostic imaging across the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities.

You will obtain patient history, verify orders, ensure exam accuracy, and apply proper positioning and radiation safety. Must have Wisconsin radiographer license, ARRT RT/CT, BLS within 6 months; no experience required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work with physicians, patients and staff.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate imaging procedures covering head, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities.
• Obtains patient history and verifies requisitions for exam accuracy.
• Positions patient and adjusts scanning factors to obtain appropriate images with radiation safety.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under Radiologist direction; assists with scanning and labeling images.
• Posts-processes images and documents patient data and billing codes for charges.
• Identifies equipment issues and performs quality assurance and calibration as required.
