Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking an Outpatient Registered CT Technologist to perform CT procedures in a full-time capacity within the clinical care team.

You will conduct diagnostic CT scans, operate radiology equipment, and ensure patient safety while adhering to regulatory standards. The role emphasizes ALARA principles, infection control, patient communication, and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

  • Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality diagnostic CT scans following departmental protocols.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
  • Ensure infection control through cleaning and maintenance.
  • Verify patient information, obtain clinical histories, and screen for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety using AIDET.
  • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during exams.
  • Administer contrast agents via venipuncture and sterile techniques.
  • Position patients and apply safety measures.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and make necessary corrections.
  • Document procedures accurately in RIS and PACS systems.
  • Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain equipment readiness.
  • Organize workflow, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with patient transport, inventory, and clerical tasks.
