The role you’ll contribute:

This position contributes to the goals of the department by providing quality CT scanning services to patients from infancy through geriatrics undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Imaging Services. Essential duties include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and producing CT images as per departmental protocols.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs quality CT scans upon orders of licensed practitioners.
• Verifies physician orders prior to scanning.
• Consults with physicians, nurses, or radiologists for clarification as needed.
• Uses two patient identifiers (name and date of birth) matched with the arm band.
• Ensures radiation protection for patients according to FACIOD-91 standards.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences needed to succeed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification
• Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration
• State license as required by law, if applicable
