Shift: Nights - Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 pm - 5:00 am

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Waterman - 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include performing imaging for neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and updating the hospital computer system with exam progress. You will actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships, implementing the principles of the facility.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Perform exams using established protocols, properly identify patients, educate them about the exam, and screen for contrast allergies.
• Complete exams efficiently, keep workflow smooth, and communicate and transport patients post-exam.
• Operate all imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical devices, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control, and maintain a clean, organized room. Perform vendor-required QA on CT scanners. May include transporting pharmaceutical waste after proper training.
• Review images, repeat as necessary, and notify physicians of emergent findings per protocol.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Associate's or technical degree in a related field.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
• Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (CT) certification if required by the facility.

Preferred qualifications:

• Two years of hospital-based clinical radiology experience.
• Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration.
• Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (CT) certification if required by the facility.
• State license as required by state if applicable.
