Shift: Nights - Tuesday-Friday, 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Waterman - 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares, 32778

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system updated. You will actively participate in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships and implementing the principles of the facility.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Perform exams using established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification, educating patients about the exam, and screening for contrast allergies.
• Complete exams efficiently, maintain workflow, and communicate with patients post-exam.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical devices, adapting protocols for all ages.
• Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control, and maintain a clean, organized environment. Perform vendor-required QA on CT scanners. May include transport of pharmaceutical waste, with proper training.
• Review images, repeat as necessary, and notify physicians of emergent findings according to protocol.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience needed to succeed:

• Associate's or technical degree in a related field.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Computed Tomography (CT) ARRT certification if required by the facility.
• Two years of hospital-based clinical radiology experience.
• Completion of radiologic technology training and ARRT registration.
• State license as required by the state, if applicable.
