Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience on a 36-hour night shift. You will work as part of a collaborative radiology team to ensure safe, accurate scans and efficient workflow.

The role requires ARRT CT/R radiography credentials, a radiologic technology program, and BLS certification, with at least one year in radiology. Sign-on and relocation assistance are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and use ALARA principles to minimize dose.
• Disinfect rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, safety and appropriate care throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and maintain sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding, and immobilize as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and repeat when necessary.
• Document findings timely and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

Minimum 1 year Radiology experience

ARRT-R (Radiography) certification

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
