Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience; ARRT-R; ARRT-CT; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely; adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique where applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor.
