Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to join the Cat Scan department in Somerville, NJ. The role requires night shifts (16 hours/week) and involves patient positioning, preparing studies, and assisting radiologists with examinations.

State of New Jersey license and ARRT CT certification within 12–24 months, plus CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months, are required. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred.
• Must have State of New Jersey License and ARRT CT certification obtained within 12–24 months of hire.
• CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
• Scheduling: Night shift, 16 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Position patient to obtain study as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
• Operate CT equipment under Radiologist supervision and ensure patient safety.
• Prepare the patient and equipment to start the procedure promptly.
• Enter studies in RIS/HIS and track cases in PACS as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and ensure sterile techniques.
• Maintain equipment logs and stock for the radiology department.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and on-call as required.
• Explain procedures to patients and document results for interpretation
