RWJ Barnabas Health in Somerville, NJ is seeking a part-time CT Technologist for night shifts. The CAT Scan Technician will perform a range of CT procedures and prioritize patient care, delivering high-quality radiology services.

Qualified candidates will have NJ license and ARRT, CT certification within 12–24 months, and CPR; three years hospital experience preferred. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred, with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• State of New Jersey License and ARRT certification required.
• CT certification obtained within 12–24 months of hire.
• CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Position patient to obtain study per SOPs.
• Operate CT equipment and ensure prompt start of procedures.
• Instruct and administer contrast agents under Radiologist direction.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Assist in patient scheduling and workflow management.
• Perform quality control of CT examinations.
• Enter studies in RIS/HIS and manage PACS as needed.
• Attend in-services and train student technologists.
