Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a part-time Cat Scan Technician for night shifts in Somerville, NJ. The CT Technologist will perform scans, prepare patients, position anatomy as required, and assist physicians under radiologist direction.

Requirements include NJ license and ARRT CT certification (within 12–24 months), CPR certification (or willing to obtain within six months), and about three years of hospital experience as a staff technologist.

Qualifications

• Must have State of New Jersey License and ARRT CT certification within 12-24 months of hire.
• CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire.
• Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Position patients to obtain studies as prescribed by SOP.
• Operate CT equipment to perform scans and assist radiologists.
• Administer contrast agents under radiologist supervision.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper apparel for reproductive organs as required.
• Document procedures and ensure patient scheduling and flow.
• Assist in instruction of student technologists.
