Job summary

Atrium Health Mountain Island Emergency Department, a facility of Atrium Health University City, provides 24-hour emergency medical services to the Northwest Charlotte area. The CT Technologist I conducts CT exams, verifies orders with radiologists, and ensures patient safety and protocol adherence in a high-volume setting.

Role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with CT registry within one year of hire, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a program ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT Radiology certification or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT Scanners and related equipment.
• Verifies orders and consults Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Prepares patients and explains procedures before exams.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and documents administration.
• Maintains radiology safety and infection control standards.
• Assists in code blue and emergency procedures as needed.
• Ensures accurate documentation in MAR and charging procedures.
