Role Overview: A CT Technologist I is responsible for performing computed tomography procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic or research purposes, and supporting interventional and therapeutic efforts under the guidance of a licensed practitioner. They prepare patients, ensure proper imaging protocols, evaluate image quality, and assist with medication administration following legal and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for accuracy, quality, and proper positioning; manage data transfer and post-processing.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
• Assist with and perform CT procedures as prescribed, supporting interventional procedures when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Ability to perform and assist with advanced imaging procedures.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and technical imaging principles.
• Educational background in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
