Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per departmental guidelines and obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and minimize dose to patients (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain patient history and verify orders with two identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep clearly using AIDET; address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support departmental operations.
