Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks a CT Technologist for Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The role supports inpatient and emergency imaging across multiple CT modalities, with mentorship for student technologists and collaboration with radiologists.

Qualifications

Must be ARRT registered and able to obtain CT certification within 18 months of employment.
Level I: ARRT registered and CT certification within 18 months of hire.
Level II: Minimum of two years’ experience as a CT technologist.
Level III: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the specialty.
Certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine or CNMT; CT certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment following radiation safety procedures.
Position patients for CT scans and ensure proper protection.
Perform exams per established protocols and safety standards.
Assist radiologists with imaging procedures and IVs.
Assist interventional CT procedures and coordinate scheduling.
Evaluate scans and label images; transmit to archive.
Provide education and training to student technologists.
