Qualifications

• Must obtain CT certification within 18 months of employment.
• ARRT CT registration within 18 months of employment.
• BLS certification is required.
• Two years of CT technologist experience (Level II) is preferred.
• Four years of experience in the specialty modality (Level III) for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment following safety procedures.
• Position patients for CT scans and ensure proper shielding.
• Perform exams per protocols and safety standards.
• Assist radiologists with CT procedures and contrast administration.
• Evaluate CT images for technical quality and label files.
• Schedule procedures and handle clerical tasks.
• Charge procedures and supplies in the EHR.
• Educate and train new CT technologists.
