Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability, repeat/correct as needed, and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS, including transfers/retrieval and prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help restock crash cart and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with technologists to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly, and elevate issues to the supervisor.
