The CT Technologist performs CT procedures, adheres to ALARA principles, and maintains equipment while ensuring patient comfort and clear communication throughout the exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout visits.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
