Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care at a Georgia hospital. Candidates will operate CT equipment, ensure ALARA practices, and work as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, a radiology program completion, and at least 1 year of radiology experience, with BLS. The position includes comprehensive benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Coordinate daily workflows to meet timelines and support department flow.
