Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging and radiographic equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the examination.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with sterile technique when applicable.
• Record documentation accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock crash cart and life-support equipment.
