Job summary

Atrium Health Union is seeking an experienced CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment per departmental protocols. The role involves image quality assessment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with Radiologists to achieve accurate interpretations.

The candidate will prepare patients, verify orders, obtain medical histories, and adhere to radiation safety guidelines while supporting emergency and routine CT procedures.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiology or NMTCB required; advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Obtain complete medical histories from EMR and requisitions; document findings.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA; maintain sterile technique.
• Follow radiation safety standards and report equipment issues.
