Job summary

Atrium Health University City is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT exams per departmental protocols, operate scanners and post-processing software, administer IV contrast when indicated, and monitor patients and equipment throughout the procedure.

This role requires verifying orders with Radiologists, preparing patients with clear explanations, reviewing medical histories in EMR, ensuring image quality, maintaining safety, and coordinating with anesthesia or Radiology staff during

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT CT certification or NMTCB with CT registry within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologists before performing the exam.
• Identify and prepare patients with a clear explanation of procedures.
• Review EMR for pertinent medical history and record histories on requisitions.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety standards and sterile technique.
• Rotate shifts as required including call backs, holidays, and weekends.
