Ochsner Health System in Jennings, LA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine CT procedures and ensure patient safety under radiation guidelines. The role includes operating CT equipment, reviewing images for diagnostic quality, and serving as a mentor to junior staff.

Requirements include completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, BLS, and CT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible, CT registry eligible within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• CT experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verifies physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operates CT equipment to complete imaging per protocol (IV placement).
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality and performs quality control.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication and care to diverse patient populations.
