Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking a CT Tech II to perform diagnostic imaging with emphasis on patient safety and high-quality results. The role involves on-site duties at St.

Petersburg, with a 3 12s schedule and alternating weekends, focusing on maintaining imaging standards and radiation safety across modalities. Ideal candidates will have CT experience, Florida licensure, ARRT/NMTCB certifications, and BLS, with leadership capabilities for onboarding and cross-training of staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Minimum two years of CT experience.
• Experience in advanced imaging and/or cardiac imaging is a plus.
• Site proctor/preceptor experience for onboarding and cross-training is valued.
• Dual imaging roles with proficiency in secondary modality is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Exercise professional judgment while delivering diagnostic imaging services.
• Ensure patient care quality and successful procedure completion.
• Comply with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Adhere to Orlando Health mission statements and imperatives.
• Assess patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Provide instructions to achieve patient cooperation and results.
• Position patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Assess images for quality, annotation, and patient ID.
• Apply radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Assist in contrast administration with/without power injectors.
• Perform venipuncture and evaluate IV access for contrast.
• Administer medical aid for adverse reactions.
• Supervise student technologists and train new technologists.
• Utilize Radiology IT systems and maintain workflow.
• Ensure safety of all customers and maintain attendance.
• Maintain department guidelines and education requirements.
