Job summary

Novant Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CT Technologist II Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. You will prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in a regional multi-ICU trauma medical center.

The role covers inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department and operating room procedures, including biopsies and complex imaging. ARRT CT certification is required at hire or within 6 months; a 2-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate degree is preferred.
• One year CT experience is preferred.
• Certification: ARRT CT and state licensure where applicable, required or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Support inpatient, outpatient, ED and operating room procedures, including trauma-related imaging.
• Collaborate with physicians to interpret information and determine patients' care needs.

What You'll Do

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree ,preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required. Applicable state license, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
