Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a PRN Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. The CT technologist assists physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography (preferred).
• One year CT experience is preferred.
• Must be ARRT CT-RT(R) or CT-N with CT certification within 6 months of hire and ARRT CT certification elsewhere as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic CT procedures.
• Prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

What You'll Do

The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
