Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT Technologist II to join our acute care team at the Clement's Ferry Free Standing Emergency Department in Charleston, SC. You will perform diagnostic CT imaging across inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR settings, contributing to life-saving care.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree and ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire, with relevant CT experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 year/associate degree, preferred.
• One year CT experience, preferred.
• ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire; state license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Perform CT procedures in inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR settings.
• Assist with biopsies, drainages, spinal injections and trauma CT tasks.

What You'll Do

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
• Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required):
• Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
• Prepares patient for procedures.
• Operates CT equipment.
