Job summary

Novant Health is opening a Summers Corner Free-Standing Emergency Department. We seek a CT technologist II Acute to assist physicians in diagnostic imaging and to operate CT equipment for a variety of settings including inpatient, ED, and OR procedures.

The role requires appropriate ARRT CT certification and a state license, with preference for 1 year CT experience. You will work in a dynamic acute care environment with exposure to advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in CT or related health field.
• One year CT experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• State license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT procedures and position for imaging.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Support inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR procedures including complex imaging.
• Collaborate with physicians across acute care settings.

The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, etc. The technologist must possess the skills and competencies necessary to work effectively across a variety of clinical settings and is expected to either regularly work in, or rotate through, an acute care facility as part of their ongoing responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

• Education:2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required):Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
  • Prepares patient for procedures.
  • Operates CT equipment.
