Job summary

Atrium Health in Byron, GA is seeking a CT Radiologic Technologist to join its radiology team. You will perform CT scanning, assist Radiologists, and ensure patient safety from prep through post-procedure.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT radiology certification (or NMTCB), BLS, and demonstrate strong patient communication. You will verify orders, prepare IV contrast, document procedures, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles.
• Ability to obtain consent and explain procedures to patients.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview patients and review EMRs for clinical history.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment issues.
• Provide patient care and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Rotate shifts including call backs, holidays, weekends.
