Job summary

Atrium Health Union West is hiring a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment under department protocols. The role requires working under a Radiologist, handling IV contrast, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during exams.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, documenting procedures, and maintaining imaging quality. The position supports 24/7 coverage with rotating shifts and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB certification for Nuclear Medicine.
• Advanced CT registry (ARRT) within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patient using two identifiers and explain the procedure.
• Prepare patient and document procedures on worksheets.
• Operate CT scanners and associated equipment proficiently.
• Prepare/use IV contrast per protocols and record amounts.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety for staff and patients.
• Rotate shifts, call backs, holidays and weekends as required.

Education

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire
