Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking a CT Technologist to support a mobile imaging team across multiple facilities. You will perform CT scans, verify patient identity, position patients, administer contrast, and operate CT equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT credentials, 2+ years of hospital CT experience, and excellent communication skills to interact with patients and families.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT credentials.
  • At least 2 years of hospital radiologic and CT experience is required.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures per physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review history, and screen contraindications.
  • Explain procedures empathetically to patients and families.
  • Assist with patient positioning, IV access, and sterile technique.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT scanners and injectors for optimal image quality and safety.
  • Evaluate images, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with physicians.
  • Document procedures and manage RIS/PACS entries.
  • Conduct quality control and stay compliant with standards.

Job description

Role Overview:

The CT Technologist supports a mobile imaging team across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role involves performing exams, patient verification, preparing and positioning patients, administering contrast media, and operating CT equipment in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT procedures following physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review medical history, and screen for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures empathetically and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Assist with patient mobility, positioning, and IV access, ensuring sterile technique.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT scanners and injectors, ensuring optimal image quality with minimal radiation exposure.
  • Evaluate images, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with physicians.
  • Accurately document procedures and manage RIS/PACS systems.
  • Conduct quality control, calibration, and adhere to compliance standards.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of hospital-based radiologic and CT experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
