Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of hospital-based radiologic and CT experience.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-CT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans per physician orders using safety protocols.
  • Verify patient details, obtain history and screen contraindications.
  • Communicate procedures clearly using AIDET with empathy.
  • Position patients, assist with mobility and ensure safety.
  • Establish IV access and administer contrast media safely.
  • Operate CT equipment, optimize imaging and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Evaluate image quality and recognize urgent findings.
  • Document procedures in RIS, PACS and logs accurately.
  • Conduct quality control, calibration and regulatory tasks.
  • Support daily operations and equipment maintenance.

Job description

Role Overview

The CT Technologist supports a variety of imaging services across multiple facilities, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and a positive patient experience. This role involves performing CT exams, verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, preparing and positioning patients, establishing IV access, administering contrast media, and operating CT scanners and injectors safely. The technologist evaluates image quality, recognizes urgent findings, and documents procedures accurately. They maintain equipment, support daily operations, and adhere to regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least 2 years of hospital-based radiologic and CT experience. Required certifications include ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS. Strong communication, empathy, attention to safety, and technical skills are essential.
