Job summary

Rock Health is seeking a CT Technologist to support multiple imaging facilities in the region, delivering high-quality CT scans and ensuring a positive patient experience across locations. You will use advanced imaging skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Ideal candidates will have hospital radiology experience and ARRT certifications, with a strong focus on safety, AIDET communication, and teamwork with radiologists and physicians.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years hospital radiology experience and CT experience.
  • Certification in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams following physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Verify patient identity, gather history, and screen for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures using AIDET and communicate empathetically with patients.
  • Prepare, position, and assist patients with transfers, immobilization, and shielding as needed.
  • Establish IV access, administer contrast media safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT equipment and injectors, ensuring accurate imaging and dose optimization.
  • Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with radiologists or physicians.
  • Accurately document procedures, manage RIS, PACS uploads, and maintain logs.
  • Perform quality checks, calibration, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and participate in on-call duties.

Role Overview:

The CT Technologist supports multiple imaging facilities within the region, delivering safe, high-quality CT scans and ensuring a positive patient experience across various locations. This role offers the opportunity to utilize comprehensive skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT exams following physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
  • Verify patient identity, gather relevant history, and screen for contraindications, including contrast risks.
  • Explain procedures using AIDET, communicate empathetically with patients and families.
  • Prepare, position, and assist patients with transfers, immobilization, and shielding as needed.
  • Establish IV access, administer contrast media safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT equipment and injectors, ensuring accurate imaging and dose optimization (ALARA).
  • Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with radiologists or physicians.
  • Accurately document procedures, manage RIS, PACS uploads, and maintain logs.
  • Perform quality checks, calibration, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and participate in on-call duties.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of hospital-based radiologic technologist experience and 2 years in CT.
  • Certifications in ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS.
