Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans according to established protocols, with a strong emphasis on accurate positioning and exposure technique. You will support radiologists in complex exams, prepare contrast media, and uphold radiation safety standards in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department.

Ideal candidates will be JRC approved, ARRT registered, with KY Radiation Operators certification and BLS. CT Certification within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• KY Radiation Operators certification active.
• BLS certification.
• CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Ensure radiation safety practices during examinations, including use of shielding and pregnancy status checks.
• Assist radiologist with complex CT exams and biopsies/fluid drainages.
• Prepare and administer contrast media per hospital policy and regulations.
• Instruct Radiologic Technology students in CT positioning and technique.
• Engage in department meetings and in-services.
