The Community You'll Be Caring For:

AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed hospital serving East Orlando since 1941, recently expanded to include a spacious patient tower and 80 private rooms. The hospital handles approximately 89,018 emergency cases annually.

The Role You’ll Contribute:

Under supervision, you will perform neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnosis, and updating hospital systems. You will also participate in customer service and uphold hospital principles.

• Perform exams using FH protocols, properly identify patients, educate them about procedures, and screen for contrast allergies.
• Complete exams efficiently, maintain workflow, and communicate effectively post-procedure.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adapt protocols for all ages, and perform QA on scanners.
• Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, follow infection control standards, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Transport pharmaceutical waste as required and complete training on handling and disposal.

Qualifications:

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred: AS or BS degree in Radiological Technology
