Location: Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA
Schedule: Full time (32 hours per week), evenings (2:30pm-11pm) with every third weekend and holiday rotation.
Summary:
  1. Performs advanced radiology or cardiovascular patient care activities and procedures for patients of varying ages under the indirect supervision of a registered technologist sonographer, managing patient care in areas such as Diagnostic Imaging or Heart and Vascular HVI. Assists in developing and monitoring department-specific systems to improve patient care quality.
  2. Qualified individuals must be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations:
  3. Environment Management:
    • Completes cleaning tasks utilizing OSHA standards, maintains equipment and inventory, practices standard precautions, maintains order and appearance of care areas, and adheres to radiation safety regulations.
    • Orders and stocks supplies, maintains inventory, and ensures sterile environments.
  4. Patient Care and Safety:
    • Provides basic comfort and safety support to patients, accepts assignments, responds to emergencies, and completes necessary documentation and procedures, including patient greeting, identification, and procedure explanation.
    • Performs safety inspections, equipment warm-up, quality control, and issues reporting.
  5. Clinical Skills:
    • Performs duties independently with accuracy and efficiency, demonstrates computer skills, schedules patients, maintains supplies, and assists in procedures including patient positioning and equipment handling.
    • Performs advanced patient care such as venipuncture or IV starts, assists radiologists, transports patients, and performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Minimum Required Qualifications:
    • HS diploma or GED
    • Completion of educational requirements and formal training; annual competency evaluation
    • As applicable, ACLS CPR certification
  • Credentials:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Education or Equivalent Experience:
    • HS Diploma/GED
    • Clinical Competencies as required by the department
